I've been blogging on Hive from October 15, 2021 more than 3 years. It wasn't a consistent journey all the time. Sometimes I had more will and inspiration to post, sometimes less so there were few pause periods in there, but I always bounce back.
I always wanted this to be a hobby I'm committed to because I like to write and put my ideas in some permanent form. However it seems like Hive rewards for posting are both bless and curse at the same time. You have probably already been there - you write a 500 or 1000 words post , you are happy about it and 7 days later you realize you have earned 5 cents. It's demotivating if your expectations are higher, but off course it's not always about the material reward.
I've tried to make it a habit by choosing specific series of posts. There is my Play2earn crypto gaming report which I tried to post about weekly. There is Hive goals and stats series of posts. There is Three Tunes Tuesday, Finance Lions news series and earlier I hosted Ecency points giveaway series which was my longer with 47 episode streak.
But eventually all of these becomes boring because there is no much room for growth in writing and spiritual sense, whatever. Every week all the same text with few minor changes. Boring I tell you!
So I'm quitting entire idea to post in this way. I have something to say. I'm not AI bot to repeat the same stuff over and over again. I think it's better to quit posting completely instead of not having fun and space to introspect here on Hive (or anywhere else, really). That's my new goal, my New Year resolution, if you will. It's a try to be better or get lost, for me.
