El tema de la migración está muy de moda, aunque siempre ha existido, hay momentos históricos precisos en los que es más notorio y en estos tiempos, gracias a las redes sociales, la difusión es mayor.
Una de las preguntas de esta semana del "Ladies of Hive Community Contest", en su edición 195, nos da la oportunidad de compartir nuestro punto de vista o experiencia al respecto y es lo que haré en esta ocasión.

The topic of migration is very fashionable, although it has always existed, there are precise historical moments in which it is more notorious and in these times, thanks to social networks, the diffusion is greater.
One of the questions of this week's “Ladies of Hive Community Contest”, in its edition 195, gives us the opportunity to share our point of view or experience about it and that is what I will do on this occasion.
1️⃣ Estamos en tiempos de muchos cambios, miles de personas han tenido que dejar su hogar para empezar de cero. Dime, ¿qué opinas de la inmigración? ¿Has vivido esta experiencia, o tienes a alguien cercano que ha tenido que irse a otro país? Cómo te sientes al respecto?
1️⃣ We are in times of many changes, thousands of people have had to leave their home to start from scratch. Tell me, what do you think about immigration? Have you lived this experience, or do you have someone close to you who has had to go to another country? How do you feel about that?
Creo que no abordaré este tema de forma tradicional, aunque ser inmigrante no es nada fácil, pienso que la migración es una oportunidad para que las personas busquen lo que necesitan, cuando piensan que no podrán encontrarlo donde están.
Cuando alguien siente que no tiene salida, que ya no puede hacer más, poder explorar otros horizontes es una puerta que le permite tener la esperanza, de que existe al menos una oportunidad de que todo estará bien.
Es más triste para quienes ni siquiera esa opción tienen y se dan por vencidos.
Although being an immigrant is not easy, I think that migration is an opportunity for people to look for what they need, when they think they will not be able to find it where they are.
When someone feels they have no way out, that they can't do any more, being able to explore other horizons is a door that allows them to have hope, that there is at least a chance that everything will be alright.
It is sadder for those who do not even have that option and give up.
Cuando alguien llega a ese punto de dejar atrás su tierra, es porque lo considera realmente necesario, por distintas razones, todas válidas.
A pesar de que mi esposo y yo somos profesionales y tenemos empleo, hubo un tiempo en que nuestro salario no era suficiente para cubrir nuestras necesidades básicas.
Ambos somos de la idea de que irnos de nuestro país no es la solución para nosotros, porque es algo que no nos satisface y nuestra premisa siempre ha sido que sólo nos iríamos, si no tenemos para comer, aún sabiendo que debíamos hacer actividades extras para complementar el ingreso mensual.
Gracias a Dios ese día no llegó y las cosas han ido mejorando poco a poco.
When someone gets to the point of leaving their homeland behind, it is because they feel it is really necessary, for different reasons, all valid.
Although my husband and I are both professionals and employed, there was a time when our salary was not enough to cover our basic needs.
We are both of the idea that leaving our country is not the solution for us, because it is something that does not satisfy us and our premise has always been, we would only leave, if we do not have enough to eat, even knowing that we had to do extra activities to supplement the monthly income.
Thank God that day did not come and things have been improving little by little.
Sin embargo, muchos de mis colegas sí emigraron y yo creo que fue lo más apropiado, porque en lugar de quedarse a quejarse día tras día por lo mal que está todo, tomaron la difícil decisión de renunciar a la empresa y encontrar un sitio que se adaptara a sus expectativas.
Por otro lado, mi familia también decidió irse, más en su caso no fue porque no tuvieran para comer, mis hermanos tenían sus propios negocios y les iba bien, pero sentían que no existía la seguridad jurídica que necesitaban para trabajar. Además, no toleraban de ninguna manera al gobierno, por lo que todo les producía malestar.
En esas circunstancias, lo mejor que podían hacer es tomar sus cosas y buscar lo que les genere paz, como cuando una persona siente que ya no puede vivir en su casa y decirse marcharse.
Admiré su determinación, recuerdo que ellos me decían: "El que sabe hacer plata, hace plata en cualquier parte". Y no fue fácil para ellos empezar de nuevo en otro país, pero creo que en ningún caso lo es, ni siquiera en nuestra propia tierra.
En lo personal no me causó tristeza que se fueran, porque sabía que ellos iban tras sus sueños, estaban siendo proactivos.
Creo que hay que ser muy valiente para irse y también para quedarse, porque ambos escenarios no son fáciles, no obstante, el crecimiento personal de quien se va, es mucho más intenso del que se queda, porque tiene desafíos adicionales a la mera subsistencia. Es mi punto de vista.
However, many of my colleagues did emigrate and I believe it was the most appropriate thing to do, because instead of staying and complaining day after day about how bad things are, they made the difficult decision to resign from the company and find a place that suited their expectations.
On the other hand, my family also decided to leave, but in their case it was not because they did not have enough to eat, my brothers had their own businesses and were doing well, however, they felt that there was not the legal security they needed to work. In addition, they did not tolerate the government in any way, so everything made them uneasy.
In those circumstances, the best thing they could do was to take their things and look for what would bring them peace, as when a person feels that they can no longer live in their home and say to leave.
I admired their determination, I remember them telling me, he who knows how to make money, makes money anywhere. And it was not easy for them to start again in another country, but I believe that in no case it is easy, not even in our own land.
Personally, I was not sad to see them go, because I knew they were going after their dreams, they were being proactive.
I think you have to be very brave to leave and also to stay, because both scenarios are not easy, however, the personal growth of those who leave is much more intense than those who stay, because they have additional challenges to mere subsistence. This is my point of view.
Cada persona que decide dejar su país tiene su propia historia, algunas veces es un cambio voluntario, otras es obligado, pero a fin de cuentas, es parte de las decisiones que cada quien debe tomar para vivir lo mejor que pueda.
La verdad es que este tema tiene muchas aristas, hay mucho para decir, pero quise enfocarme sólo en una de ellas, para no extenderme demasiado.
Every person who decides to leave their country has their own story, sometimes it is a voluntary change, sometimes it is forced, but at the end of the day, it is part of the decisions that each person must make to live the best life they can.
The truth is that this topic has many edges, there is a lot to say, but I wanted to focus on just one of them, so as not to go too far.
