Well, unfortunately, some people believe in this statement and some like to share such advice because it's a very easy thing to say. I personally think that you can/should help others when you are capable of helping others but that doesn't mean you shouldn't think about yourself. Yourself should be always the priority and when you are capable, you will give others too...
