My two latest dresses 👗🥻 — WeAreAliveAndSocial

I always get joy when I achieve my daily goals,t and this day my goal was to finish two fabrics even though I had limited time for it.
The two dresses are for my mother and stepsister, I've been delaying to make it for them because I've been busy with other things now I only had one day to make it for them.

So I got to work!

I brought out the two fabrics and cut them to the desired styles.

I first started with that of my stepsister because I thought it would take more time than my mom's own, I haven't made my mom's style of dress before but I always looked at it as being easy.

So after making my sister's own, this below is how it turned out, well, just how she wanted it:

It took me a 2.5 hours to complete it. After that I was making my mom's own, I cut the inner and made a normal bodice gown, and then the lace I used for what we call a butterfly dress.

As easy as it seemed, i realized that it is even harder than the first dress, it needed more attention and time, maybe because it's my first time, but glad I was able to finish on time before nightfall. I starred this dress by 3 pm and finished at 6:30 pm.
And here's how it turned out below:

I'm Happy I was able to make the dresses how they wanted it and it gave them a very good fitting.

Well done @madilyn02 , Looking back I regret not having developed my sewing skills, my Mom worked full time being the bread winner and my father wasn't very good at sewing but I can give him some credit, he did his best.
