I have always admired this type of art, the art of weaving/braiding hair, it comes to most girls in Nigeria naturally, but not me. Even when I tried to learn it by looking at how's done, I couldn't 😬, well I haven't put much interest in it.
As I said, to most girls in Nigeria, this artistic gift comes naturally to them, my sister is among the lucky ones.
She knows how to do basic weaving of hair, all Styles.
So since I had recently taken off my braids, I needed to do a simple weaving to sustain my hair and make it look beautiful. This is how it all started...
My younger sister helped me to cut and remove my braids a few days ago. After that I had to go about with my hair unbraided after washing but packing it well
But then I decided today to get my elder sister to weave them for me, well I've been asking her to weave it since the other day but there's just not enough chance, so today seemed really perfect!
So I had go sit as she grabs the comb and start to do what she's good at. She started from the back, single braids with my hair
Then she was weaving the sides and adding a beautiful design to it
After she did both sides, it was remaining the front side which she also made single braids like the back.
Though the whole thing took a while, a lot of sitting, I'm glad it was finally done. I think it took about two hours!
First I had to get in, freshened up then I had the strength to take the pics of the finished product lol
Getting her to make my braids also saves me from going to the saloon and spending money.
So thanks to my sister I now have a new smart look
Sometimes my mom also helps to do the braids for me, but she's just so busy now. She'll be happy that my sister did it too.
Well I really wish I could do it too, that'll mean that after my sister did mine I can also in turn do hers for her, but we all have our own special skills, at least I make almost all the clothes they wear hahaha.
Well, that's how I got a new look today!💜
Getting a new look gives me much joy, and that's why I'm also thankful to my sister, @yummycruz1 for doing this for me.
Thanks y'all and see you in another post! 🤗
