Hello ladies and everyone on hive, happy new week!
When I saw the prompt posed by @ifarmgirl, I knew without a doubt what my response would be.
If money is not an issue, would you consider having cosmetic surgery to enhance your appearance and which part of your body would you want altered?.
It's without an iota of doubt that this present generation is all about good looks. From fashion choice to hairstyle, make up and cosmetics, looking good is the business and order of the day.
Different industries know how to portray their goods by making it look attractive when advertised. The entertainment industry especially sells good looks, as we see actors and actresses looking so god-like, with flawless skin, dominant facial structure with looks which are to die for. This is made possible by medical alterations referred to as cosmetic surgery.
As lovely as the outcome of such medical procedures might seem, I would not alter any part of my body for any reason, not now and not even in the future.
I am already beautifully and wonderfully created and made by God and this is not just me quoting a passage of scripture, this is the truth.
No matter the amount of money at my disposal, cosmetic surgery would never cross my mind. Just the thought of changing an original part of my body for synthetic parts scares me to bits. I am in love with my entire body, from my sexy eyes to full lips, full breasts, broad hips, long straight legs, my oh my, "I'm ballin 'n' hot. I have the kind of body that blends with any clothes type, my friends tell me that I could work and be successful as a model but I'm not down with that.
I would recommend cosmetic surgery if there was an accident that caused a disfigurement of any part of the body. This can help the survivors of such horrible accident, feel normal.
Survivors of major disasters like fires, bomb blasts, terrorist attacks, car accident etc, can have those danmaged part of their body repaired. Asides from this factor, cosmetic surgery is a no can do for me.
Some who did it claimed it was for beauty enhancement, well, that's their choice. It's different strokes for different folks. Every part of my body is beautiful and needs no enhancement...in fact, I would do body part give away if it was possible 😁.
One other thing that informs my unwillingness to carry out plastic surgery is on the negative effects of cosmetic surgery. As one grows older, the skin loses its elasticity and begins to slack, this causes the skin not to be firm anymore but wrinkly and saggy. So even with plastic surgery, the law of decline will still take its toll on the body. * What's the use of cosmetic surgery then?*
Rather than use my unlimited finances to alter parts of my body, I would rather donate to charity, carry out philanthropic deeds and invest in some venture for my children and grandkids to inherit as a legacy.
Bottom line is, I would not change anything about my body because even if I do, I won't remain that way forever, nature will take its course even on the body.
This is my response to the second question for the #ladiesofhivecommunity prompt #177.
