Nuestras amigas nos plantean dos interrogantes muy interesantes que gustosamente voy a desarrollar a continuación:



1.- When you're sick, what home remedy gets you back on your feet the quickest? Explain how it works.

Well, it depends on the illness. There are situations that are out of my hands and it is necessary to go to the doctor to check, diagnose and prescribe. But there are certain illnesses that I have been able to solve at home with natural medicines, before they take hold and force me to go to the doctor.

I am a fan of natural herbal teas and in my house I have planted some of these, because I learned to use them since I was young and they have been effective. For example, for a cold that has not yet become complicated, I have these recipes:

1.- Lemon balm tea with honey and lemon.
2.- Lemon balm tea with oregano, honey and lemon.
3.- Lemongrass tea with honey and lemon

1.- Cuando estás enfermo, ¿qué remedio casero te recupera más rápidamente? Explica cómo funciona.

Bueno, depende de la enfermedad. Hay situaciones que se escapan de mis manos y es necesario asistir al médico para que revise, diagnostique y recete. Pero sí hay ciertas enfermedades que he podido solventar en casa con medicinas naturales, antes de que agarren cuerpo y me obliguen a ir al doctor.

Soy fan de los tés de hierbas naturales y en mi casa tengo sembradas algunas de éstas, porque aprendí a usarlas desde jovencita y han sido efectivas. Por ejemplo, para un resfriado que aún no se ha complicado, tengo estas recetas:

1.- Té de toronjil con miel y limón
2.- Té de toronjil con orégano orejón, miel y limón
3.- Té de citronella con miel y limón



Why honey and lemon in all teas? Because lemon has vitamin C that improves the immune system, and honey is an antibiotic and anti-inflammatory that relieves respiratory infections, coughs with phlegm and throat conditions, among other properties and benefits.

And for stomach pains and digestion problems:

1.- Basil tea.
2.- Boldo tea or acetaminophen tea

These herbal teas are effective, I have always used them and I can guarantee that they have relieved me quickly in these common cases.

¿Por qué miel y limón en todos los tés? Porque el limón posee vitamina C que mejora el sistema inmunitario, y la miel es antibiótico y antiinflamatorio que alivia las infecciones respiratorias, la tos con flema y las afecciones de la garganta, entre otra gran cantidad de propiedades y beneficios.

Y para los dolores estomacales, y problemas de digestión:

1.- Té de albahaca
2.- Té de boldo o acetaminofén

Estos tés de hierbas son efectivos, los he usado siempre y puedo garantizar que me han aliviado rápidamente en estos casos tan comunes.


2.- Today's world is full of stress, deadlines, and way to much to do! What is your number one stress reliever that you depend on to make it through??

If there is anyone who knows the alphabet of deadlines in life plans, it's me, but I have learned to be patient, that doesn't mean I don't get overwhelmed by stress. Actually my favorite anti-stress method, tested and confirmed, is to go to the beach, enjoy the sound of the sea, the sea breeze, and the sunsets in front of that landscape, it is something magical. But it also helps me to be in direct contact with other natural landscapes such as rivers, waterfalls, mountains, among others. The bad thing is that these are not methods that come so easily to me because I don't live in an area where these types of natural landscapes abound.

I could say that stress is our daily bread, especially in the country where we live, and in my case, I try to find easy and accessible solutions to calm it down. Many will think that since I train and do yoga, there I find my anti stress, but it is not so, those activities satisfy me but they are not the ones that control me the stress that triggers my anxiety.

2.- ¡El mundo de hoy está lleno de estrés, plazos y demasiadas cosas que hacer! ¿Cuál es tu método anti estrés favorito para salir adelante?

Si hay alguien que se conoce el abecedario de plazos en los planes de vida, ésa soy yo, pero aprendí a tener paciencia, eso no quiere decir que no me arrope el estrés. Realmente mi método anti estrés favorito, comprobado y confirmado, es ir a la playa, disfrutar del sonido del mar, la brisa marina, y los atardeceres frente a ese paisaje, es algo mágico. Pero también me ayuda estar en contacto directo con otros paisajes naturales como ríos, cascadas, montañas, entre otros. Lo malo es que no son métodos que se me hacen tan fáciles porque no vivo en una zona donde abunden este tipo de paisajes naturales.

Podría decir que el estrés es el pan nuestro de cada día, sobre todo en el país donde habitamos, y en mi caso, trato de hallar soluciones fáciles y accesibles para calmarlo. Muchos pensarán que como entreno y hago yoga, ahí encuentro mi anti estrés, pero no es así, esas actividades me satisfacen pero no son las que me controlan el estrés que dispara mi ansiedad.



My most common methods are:

1.- Cooking, but things that I like, this not only distracts me and disconnects me from what stresses me, but tasting that so tasty, completes the calming process. I enjoy preparing new recipes, inventing or simply making meals that I like, the process allows me to forget the problems, and of course, eating it is part of it, and even the best part.

2.- Writing, anything from a poem to a to-do list. But I don't mean digital writing, but with paper and pencil. A few days ago I changed my physical phone book, and I dedicated myself to clean up all the contacts, delete the ones that are no longer active, and add the most recent ones. You have no idea how much this activity disconnected me from the world and how relaxing it is to write, of course, if we like what we are putting on paper.

Mis métodos más comunes son:

1.- Cocinar, pero cosas que me gusten, esto no sólo me distrae y me desconecta de lo que me estresa, sino que probar eso tan rico, completa el proceso de tranquilizante. Disfruto preparando recetas nuevas, inventando o simplemente haciendo comidas que me agradan, el proceso me permite olvidar los problemas, y por supuesto, comerla es parte del mismo, y hasta la mejor parte.

2.- Escribir, lo que sea, desde un poema hasta una lista de cosas pendientes por hacer. Pero no me refiero a escritura digital, sino con papel y lápiz. Días atrás cambié de guía telefónica física, y me dediqué a pasar en limpio todos los contactos, eliminar los que ya no están activos, y agregar los más recientes. No tienen idea de lo que esta actividad me desconectó del mundo y lo relajante que resulta hacer escritos, por supuesto, si nos agrada lo que estamos plasmando en el papel.



3.- Playing games is another method that calms my nerves, stress and anxiety, but I am referring to digital games. I have several in my cell phone, and when I'm stressed, I play any game and forget about what has me like this. My favorite is Candy Crush, although lately there is a game of completing a picture with geometric shapes that has me a little addicted.

3.- Jugar, es otro método que me calma nervios, estrés y ansiedad, pero me refiero a los juegos digitales. Tengo varios en mi celular, y cuando estoy estresada, juego cualquiera y me olvido de lo que me tiene así. Mi favorito es Candy Crush, aunque últimamente hay un juego de completar un cuadro con formas geométricas que me tiene un poco adicta.

Hi friend, definitely teas, they are a great help to relieve some ailments, the ones with lemon and honey are my favourite, the taste is nice; writing is also a way to relax and disconnect from my devices.

It's great that you have medicinal plants in your home, lemon balm is very effective, it's great that between cooking, writing and playing you can find anti-stress, thanks for sharing.

I am fascinated by the smell of its leaf, it looks like a mix between mint and lemon.

Eating is my number one stress reliever then followed by writing and reading. I’m glad I got to learn something new about Honey and lemon

Good to know you found this tip helpful.
They even use honey from bees for touching the tonsils when they are infected.
Eating is therapeutic on one hand, but then come the extra pounds that stress us out again, hahahaha. But no way.

I also had lemon tea variation almost every day not just when I am sick. 😊

Lemon is very tasty, in tea, desserts and juices.
And we are fortified with its great source of vitamin C.

And I have plenty of fresh Basil growing in my garden. 🌱💚

Basil is delicious, I love the smell it gives off when the breeze blows or when I pluck a leaf. I use it for many things, not only as a home remedy, it is excellent in stews.

I used to be a big tea lover but all of I sudden I lost interest in sweet stuff and that was it. Lemon tea with honey does sound healthy.

Sweetening them with honey is a good option.
