Saturday Seafood

Saturdays and Sundays are family days. We want to make these days as special as possible. What's better than spending these with cooking and eating together.

Our menu featured fried lapu-lapu fish for lunch and succulent crabs for dinner, all thanks to my generous aunt who provided these oceanic treasures.

The highlight of our lunch was the fried lapu-lapu fish, also known as grouper fish. This exquisite dish is a favorite in many coastal cuisines, renowned for its tender flesh and rich flavor. Preparing the lapu-lapu fish involved a simple yet effective method: marinating the fish with a blend of spices and frying it to a golden perfection. The result was a crispy exterior that encased the moist, flavorful meat inside, making it a thoroughly satisfying meal.

Freshly caught and brought directly from the sea, these crabs were a testament to the bounty of nature. We prepared them in a classic style, steaming them to preserve their natural sweetness and then serving them with a simple yet delicious garlic butter sauce. The combination of the delicate crab meat and the savory sauce made for an unforgettable dining experience.

None of this would have been possible without the efforts of my aunt, who brought us this fresh seafood straight from the sea. Her contribution made our Saturday Seafood special, reminding us of the importance of family and the joys of sharing a meal together. We are deeply grateful for her generosity and the opportunity to enjoy such high-quality, fresh produce.
