Name - Prison Break
Released - 2005-2017
Creators - Paul T. Scheuring
It has been a while since I saw Prison Break and I think that I didn't see it through to the end, so I started to watch it again from season 1. So far I have reached season 4 and I am glad I started watching it again, as it is a cracking series.
The first season you get a good intro to some of the characters and any and every possible event that could happen in a prison, happens. Considering the prisoners are supposed to be locked up, they spend a lot of time outside chilling, working and doing stuff.
The prison experiences riots, takeovers and some serious corruption that keeps the action flowing throughout. Our hero has luckily tattooed the prison plans on his body so breaking out is guaranteed, you are just waiting for when they will finally do it.
The brother he is trying to break out is comically called Linc the sink as he is a very tough death row inmate, but along with Schofield himself, both are not very convincing hard men. You need to suspend your beliefs alot with the show, but it is still very watchable with some great acting.
My favorite character has to be the very bad T Bag played by the actor Robert Knepper. This role discovered him so to say and hopefully we will see some more of his great acting in future. When he is out of character, he sounds like such a great guy, but still has that lick lipping thing going on! lol
Azad ft. Adel Tawil (Ich glaub an Dich)
When the series dropped, there was a rap song released that was quite popular in the german charts by the rapper Azad featuring Adel Tawil. If you are not a fan of german rap, you might not like it. But I do quite like the singer Adel Tawil and enjoy some of his songs. The song is called I believe in you.
Once the brothers and gang finally escape, the action continues with the introduction of the awesome Alexander Mahone played by William Fichtner who has quite a filmography behind him but really shines in this.
It proceeds to be a battle of wits between Schofield and Mahone from one scene to the next until they even team up for a while once they spoiler alert escape the US.
What is quite cool about the series is that it shows more than just some hints about the corruption of the running of the country and secret interests and the extent of any interest they would have, which is a level of realism that you don't often see. Although this too gets a little farcical with series 3 and 4 when we are introduced to Gretchen who spoiler alert launches a full scale attack on a prison but were wanting Michael to break someone out.
Overall a great series and highly recommended to watch. I start now on series 5!
Thanks for reading.
