Hi Hivers,
Today I want to describe British actors and why they are considered the best in the world;
The world of the silver screen owes much to the likes of Gary Oldman, Jeremy Irons, Daniel Day- Lewis, Hugh Grant, Anthony Hopkins Clive Owen and many others.....
First of all, they have theatrical training of the highest order;
The British theatrical tradition is one of the oldest and most prestigious in the world, boasting names such as Shakespeare, Marlowe, Shaw, Wilde, and many others. British actors train in renowned schools such as the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, or the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where they learn the techniques and nuances of acting on stage. Many of them begin their careers in the theater, where they try their hand at classical or modern plays, dramatic or comic, and engage with live audiences. This helps them develop a mastery of language, movement, expressiveness, and memory, which they then transfer to the big or small screen.
Versatility is another hallmark of British actors, who are able to play characters from every era, gender, nationality, and personality. They are masters of changing looks, voice, and attitude, and of stepping into roles even far removed from themselves. Just think of Gary Oldman, who has played Sid Vicious, Lee Harvey Oswald, Dracula, Winston Churchill, and many others; or Daniel Day-Lewis, who won three Oscars for his roles in My Left Foot, There Will Be Blood, and Lincoln. British actors are not afraid to challenge themselves and surprise audiences with their transformations.

Their accent and diction is another element that makes them unique and fascinating. Whether it is the standard English accent, called Received Pronunciation, or regional ones, such as Scottish, Irish, or cockney, they know how to use their voice to create effects of elegance, authority, irony, or sympathy. They also know how to adapt their accent to that of the characters they play, even if they are not of British descent. For example, Hugh Laurie amazed everyone with his perfect American accent in the role of Dr. House, while Christian Bale imitated his Welsh one in the film The Belfast Florist.
They also have a great sense of humor, which makes them funny and self-deprecating.
Finally, British actors have a magnetic stage presence, capable of expressing intense emotions with a look, a gesture, or a word. Some examples of British actors with strong stage presence are Benedict Cumberbatch, Idris Elba, Emma Thompson, and Helen Mirren.

All this "acting heritage" makes them capable of stepping into incredible roles making the character they play "real," capturing the audience's attention by catapulting them into the film: the viewer feels strong emotions: here conveying emotions with one's performance is what
to which every talented actor aspires.
For all these reasons they are highly appreciated and in demand in both film and television, both at home and abroad.
