Chocolate Flavored Beer

in Foodies Bee Hiveyesterday

My sister-in-law had a birthday on the 16th. A friend of her gave her a beer in can labeled Limited Edition Chocolate Lager by San Miguel Beer. Since she doesn't drink alcoholic drinks she passed it onto me. Her friend works for San Miguel Beer.

I always like trying out new flavors, good or bad. It is labeled limited edition because it will only be available for a short time only.

It was in the fridge for two days and last night I finally decided to give it a go.

I was really expecting it to be a bad kind of beer and that's why maybe it is only for a limited edition. Well, I am no beer connoisseur but I do know if my taste buds likes it or not. To my surprise the taste was overwhelmingly good.

At first you'll taste mostly beer taste but after a while after gulps a second flavor will burst. The chocolate flavor will takeover. Initially I thought beer and chocolate will not gonna mix well but the Chocolate Lager is actually top tier beer.

Most beers I tasted for the first time, even the good ones I liked eventually, all I could taste was bitterness from most first time tries I have done. This one is a champion on the get go. Usually I'd get around to the real taste of a beer on the second bottle/can.

So if you haven't tried it and you like beers, you should try it. Remember it's gonna be available on bars for a limited time.

Alcohol is only 4% so it didn't even made me tipsy.

Final conclusion: A must try!

How interesting, I didn't know that this type of combinations could be made and have a good result 🫢 I would like to try it sometime 😋

Yeah right but it's actually good in terms of taste. The bitterness of malt and cacao are right there but not competing.

I wouldn't have thought so. That combination must be unique. Well, it turned out to be a good move to have a teetotaler sister. I hope you get another chance. Regards @metapizix

I wouldn't have tried it based on the flavor but it was free beer ahehe
