Hello, this is my first recipe here, I hope you like it. As a true Italian, I adore spaghetti and I propose it to you in this recipe that I cooked today:
Spaghetti with speck and bell peppers; actually, my dad used to make it with bavette pasta, but since I didn't have any at home and I love spaghetti, here it is: a delicious, fragrant, colorful, and low-calorie recipe, perfect!
Sometimes we don't have time to cook, other times we have little desire, and we are always (I'm talking about people who have to cook twice a day like me 😅) looking for recipes that have a complete nutritional profile.

Here are the doses and ingredients for two people:

  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 tablespoons of oil
  • 100 gr. Speck cut into matchsticks
  • 1 yellow bell pepper
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 160 gr. bavette or spaghetti

In a non-stick pan, heat the oil and garlic and the speck cut into matchsticks (you can buy it already cut) over medium-high heat. As soon as the speck changes color and becomes clear,

add the bell peppers cut into strips;

season with salt (be careful as the speck is salty) and as soon as the peppers start to sizzle, lower the heat and cover: the steam and water contained in the peppers will cook them.

In the meantime, you will have put the pot for the pasta water on the fire and as soon as it boils, salt it with a handful of coarse salt and throw in the spaghetti; two minutes before they are cooked, remove them from the pot and continue cooking in the pan with the peppers (keep a glass of cooking water that you will add to the pan because it contains the starch that will produce a cream that binds everything together).

The bacon releases a slight smoky meat aroma and flavor that with the sweetness of the peppers and creates a perfect combination.
Chili pepper 🌶 is a must, but if you don't like it, don't add it; I sprinkle the pasta with a scissor-cut parsley leaf and a tablespoon of Parmigiano Reggiano.

587 calories per person for a complete single dish: not bad for our health.
Here is the nutritional percentage table for this dish; I apologize because it is in Italian but I believe you will understand the meaning.
