There are tiny quartz and calcite crystals in this rock so we have to come back in the dark to see if it glows like a Yooperlite under 395 nm Ultraviolet light.

The Chasse-galerie, "The Flying Canoe," is a popular French-Canadian tale of voyageurs who made a deal with the devil in order to visit their sweethearts during the night, who are located a long distance away. It is a variant of the Wild Hunt. Its most famous version was written by Honoré Beaugrand, and was published in The Century Magazine in August 1892.
