En la sala de danzas, se preparaban para iniciar los ensayos de una de las danzas tradicionales de nuestra cultura venezolana, Los diablos danzantes de Yare. Este baile, originario del estado Miranda, se presenta con énfasis en los días del Corpus Christi, días después de Semana Santa, y los habitantes lo realizan para elevar peticiones, orar, agradecer, y demostrar la fe que los caracteriza dentro de sus creencias religiosas.

Pude ver muchas representaciones físicas de esta tradición como el altar y las máscaras de los diablos danzantes, colgadas en la pared. Cada detalle de la decoración tiene una simbología en la danza, y este ritual se acompaña de los movimientos que hacen sus protagonistas durante el desarrollo de la misma.

En las instalaciones del Ateneo de El Tigre, también se realizan talleres de ortografía, y redacción, de la misma manera que se fomenta la lectura a través de proyectos como Bichito de Luz, que es una propuesta de lectoescritura que desde hace un tiempo promueve la Casa de la Cultura conjuntamente con otras instituciones culturales de la ciudad, y algunas fundaciones como Vida Asperger.

In the dance hall, they were preparing to begin rehearsals for one of the traditional dances of our Venezuelan culture, Los diablos danzantes de Yare.
