Hello my friends, a little bit about today's top match between Manchester United and Liverpool:
Liverpool claimed victory today with a score that, on paper, looks impressive. However, upon closer inspection, one might almost think they showed some mercy. After their third goal, it seemed like the coach had asked them to slow down to avoid humiliating Ten Hag.
Imagine if this match had been under Jürgen Klopp’s management; the situation could have been even worse for United, perhaps even a repeat of last season’s 7-0. But despite this, we still hear voices saying, "We need to give Ten Hag time." We've heard that excuse a thousand times.
Today, Casemiro was missing in action, completely off the mark. Nothing he tried worked. In fact, the only thing he might have succeeded in was putting his shoes on the right feet. Apart from that, every pass, every choice he made was catastrophic. One even wonders if he wasn’t in a daze before the kickoff.
In the end, Manchester United showed no real threat in attack. The four forwards seemed like they had never trained together, and Eric Ten Hag must shoulder a large part of the responsibility for this fiasco. Yet, despite all the changes in coaches and players, the situation at United does not seem to improve.
In contrast, Liverpool continues to display fluidity and simplicity in their game. Newcomers like Alexis Mac Allister and Ryan Gravenberch are integrating perfectly, bringing a dynamism reminiscent of what Georginio Wijnaldum used to provide. Despite the transitional phase Liverpool is going through, they remain well above Manchester United.
This match should serve as a serious warning to United fans: things need to change quickly, as it is unacceptable for such an iconic club as Manchester United to be so thoroughly dominated by Liverpool, even during a transition period.
