Hi Everyone,
It's another beautiful day and it's with great pleasure that I'm welcoming everyone to my blog today and I hope you're all doing well and having a great day. I'm here today to share with you about my backyard farming which is about to get started.
It's a great privilege for me to witness another planting season again and due to how things is going on in my country Nigeria right now, farming is something one must take seriously and I believe no matter how little or small the farm maybe, it will surely have a great role to play in terms of reducing the cost of living.
My last planting season was full of challenges, from army worm striking my maize plants to lack of proper rain fall but irrespective of that, I was still able to get something out of nothing and that's what really get me going for this year planting season.
I should have started my planting season since March ending but I have to put things on hold due to lack of rain fall at my area while it's already raining heavily in other places. But finally, I later get to witness rainfall in my area even a heavy one at that and I'm so happy.
And what's more important is that I have already filled the site I will be using for my farming with the manure that I got from my poultryfarm to make sure that the soil is more fertile and at the end of the day I will be having a bountiful harvest
I have already got my planting season under the way as I have few works to do before planting my maize seeds and other seeds. On my farming site, I have some particles and bunch of sticks to remove before making ridges and plant my seeds.
So in lieu of this, I have to clear those particles away through raking and eventually burnt them.
I will be updating you in my next blog as I will be making some ridges and plant my seeds.
Thanks for visiting my blog and have a wonderful day
