Latest installment-Patio Drain

Work has begun.jpg
Once this wall was completed and I had raked the bed as clean as I could, I waited for the next rain to see how the thing would drain.
The farside (in this image, that is the East side) drained as it always has down the driveway side.
The NEAR side in this image, didn't drain.
Now, it wasn't THAT much rain, but still.
I used my tiller and removed some of the surface and tested it several times with water from my wheelbarrow

But I could see the problem would only get shifted down the hill and wash away my new yard and grass, so I hired the plumbers to come back today and install an area drain

Now, when it rains enough to flow off the patio, it will have another outlet outside my fence

I had this galvanized flue pipe left over, so why not use it rather than buy another 10 ft of that drain pipe?

The galvanized pipe runs under my fence onto an easement, so I doubt anyone will notice or object

↑Of course, I will go back out and cover it better↑

At least it doesn't run down my hill. I also got a new cutoff valve install at no cost!

Yoir environment looks beautiful with the flowers all around. I love the serenity.

And good luck with that lots of work.

Why thank you @monica-ene , I still have a good bit of work to get done before I can really enjoy this space, but getting there is half the fun!

Good luck with it my friend.
And it's good that we can constantly see your progress here.

This is also a good thing. Life is busy and many things have to be taken care of because if we don't water them on time then they get spoiled.
