Christmas time is my favorite time of year.
We celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Most everyone seems a bit happier this time of year, and everything is decorated and lit up to create a festive atmosphere.
One of the things I enjoy is the prep work leading up to Christmas Day.
We decorate our house every year, and the grandkids just love it.
Several of the preparation activities have become traditions as well.
Making Christmas cookies is always fun, and now that we have grandchildren, they enjoy helping with the prep work.
Here, we have three generations making up a batch of cookies.
And the kids always enjoy making gingerbread houses.
We will go to the Christmas Eve service tonight, then we will come home and eat Chinese food for dinner.
My wife buys all of us matching Christmas pajamas and we generally watch Christmas Movies.
(Most definitely "A Christmas Story")
This is how we begin to celebrate Christmas.
Do you and your family have any special Christmas traditions?
Please share them in the comments.
Until next time,
John Novak
