I'm about 2 weeks late to the recent change with DRIP, but so be it. In an abrupt change, they decided to go all-in on Splinterlands instead of diversifying in multiple crypto-based games. I've never been a fan of investing in one singular area, be it stocks, crypto, etc.
Naturally, the news wasn't well-received, and the price dropped considerably. If people want exposure to Splinterlands, they can invest directly into Splinterlands. BRO and LGN are already invested in it, and I'm invested in those already, so holding DRIP was redundant and far more risky for me.

Even with the price drop, I made my money back and then some, since I had staked it until staking rewards diminished, and then moved them to the liquidity pool. Since then, I had been liquidating half of my pool rewards and putting the other half back into it.
I ended up with around 380 HIVE back in my pocket once all was said and done. Since HIVE has been seeing price increases lately, now is probably as good a time as any to pull some profits and hold until the price climbs higher.
Maybe I'm wrong to pull out and should've stayed in, but for now, this seems to be the safer play.
