Technology in our todays world has really made everything easy. Nothing this days are done manually again, almost 65% of mans problems and way of life had been solved by technology. Technology has had this impact on almost every aspect of our lives, it has transformed the way we live, interact with people i.e our social lives included and even our work lives.
Technology is a very big part of us. For example our phones, laptops, and other devices our constant companions. Alot can't do without them. Also social media and the internet that gives instant access to vast information. Even 90%of jobs in today's world is done and made easier with technology.
To the question of the week, what If the world suddenly goes dark and there's nothing like technology anymore , what can I do to earn a living. The very first thing that came to mind was crocheting. Technology to go all down may mean we not having our phones any more and here I am being someone that cannot go without my phone. The only thing I might have a connection with and also have passion for will be crotcheting. And also if noticed crotcheting has become a trend again. In my secondary school days, it was mostly just bags we could yse specially during our exams period and also
Maybe wrist bands and head warmers but in our present times, there's nothing that hasn't been crotcheted. Ranging from phone pouches, gowns, swimsuits/, beachwears, palazzo pants, name them.
Yes.... I know the question on your mind is why, but there are just several reasons to why I'll choose that.
First reason will be that crotcheting gives you the opportunity to be creative. You can express your creativity and bring wonderful and unique ideas to life.
Secodly, it is handmade. Yes I know that there are machines to help make the work easier but remember technology is down and like I said earlier alot of things aren't done manually anymore and sincerely this makes a lot of us lazy and sometimes sick because we get to sit a lot and little or no part of our body is put to work. But with crotcheting, each piece is carefully crafted with hands, making sure it's quality is exceptional and alot of attention is given to what is been done.
Thirdly, its a physical thing someone can touch. Like it had this personal touch that whosoever purchases or get them, Its meaningful and special.
Crotcheting can be done anywhere and also anytime. Making it so easy for those that needs an ideal career that's flexible. And also it's a portable kind of craft.
Crotcheting can make you your own boss. You don't need to get big to startup. It can be a lowkey startup because the basic tools are affordable. And the price of the crotcheted items is kinda flexible, making it available and accessible to all kinds and range of customers.
