Hive: A learning curve.

in Hive Naija9 months ago

Hello everyone. Good afternoon, how are y'all doing?? Hope today's going well. Wishing you an amazing day ☺️. I'm so excited this week to talk about my hive experience, especially about things I kinda had difficulties with when I started.

I'm happy because it's now a story. I'm no longer experiencing it but I'm gladly telling others about it for them to learn. I know we already know this is but quickly again let's take a look at what the hive Blockchain is all about.

The Hive Blockchain can be defined as a decentralized social network and blockchain-based operating system. It's similar to other blockchain platforms, like Ethereum and Bitcoin, but it is designed specifically for social networking and content creation.

The Hive Blockchain is a platform that allows it's users to create and share content, build communities, and earn rewards for their contributions to the platform.

I'm going to be a year on hive on the 19th of February ,2023, and trust me its been a wonderful one, though tough at first but along the line I started to enjoy being on this platform. I attempted to create lots of content, got success on some and failed at some.

Its been really great for me because I have learnt a lot of things, met a lot of wonderful people and done exciting and wonderful things I thought I could never ever do. So now to things it took me a while to understand on hive. Number one will be;

Tags: When I started creating contents newly, I never knew it was important to include tags. I saw the space for tags but I was always confused and I didn't master them, which and which to use for each post and communities.

I always asked and I'm sure the person always got tired @etorobong can relate. But at a certain point I mastered all of them and now I can proudly say that I know the right tags to use now and infact I'm now telling people 😂.

I didn't know that this tags helped me with tokens in my wallet. It also helped categorize my post and help me with the kind of exposure I needed on hive.

Method of payout: This one really took me a while to understand. I was always confused, I'll write a content, receive massive upvote but the payout will not be what I expected or what I thought it's supposed to be. It was when I decided to talk to my mentor on hive, he explained the method of payout on hive, how it works, etc.

Receiving upvotes: I was kinda angry with this one. I created content but didn't receive upvote. I thought I will receive big upvotes everytime. And then I still talked to my mentor on hive, and he told me that the people who upvoted me put in all their efforts into their work to be able to support me. So I should be able to same, putting in effort to work so I could be supported. This particular one taught me consistency.

To those joining hive newly and maybe facing the same challenges as I did, for example with tags I'll say try to learn from those you think know more in hive, when you want to create a content in a community , try to read about the community and know its tags, with this you will eventually get used to it.

Lastly to receive upvotes , putting in your efforts and being consistent is key to getting all of this. Success.

Thank you for stopping by.

It's great to see you excited about all of your Hive experience. Congrats on almost hitting your one-year mark. I laughed hard when I read the part where you were always confused about tags. I'm glad you finally mastered them and can now proudly tell others about it. And don't worry about not always receiving upvotes, it takes time and effort to build a following. Just keep being consistent and putting in the work, and success will come.

Thank you so much for the encouragement. I appreciate

I didn't understand how payouts work when I first got here. I was confused when I saw way less than I got on my intro post in my wallet.

You'll find be a year old in a few weeks. Congrats. What's your favourite thing about Hive?

Thank you ☺️

My favorite thing about Hive is that it's a user-friendly interface and I'm a big fan of user-friendly interface and also on hive there are wide range of topics to discuss.

Awesome! Then you're always in for a thrill.
