Navigating Unrealistic Expectations: My Journey Towards 2,000 Hive Power and Mastering Digital Drawing

in Hive Naija3 months ago

Expectations can be described in many ways, popular types of expectations include high expectations, low expectations and unstable expectations. Maybe there are certain things that ought to be accomplished at a given age, or certain chores that ought to be done, which are beyond one’s capabilities. Such expectation can be as a result of the culture, society or because of individual personal desire to conform to certain standards. But once again, these expectations are not typical of the present state of the world, and therefore they cause stress, frustration, and inadequacy.

A rather typical case is the propensity toward making money, particularly trying to become a millionaire as fast as possible. Most people feel the pressure of the need to have as much money as possible or achieve a certain professional position before a certain age is reached. This results in workaholism, stress and even as it gets to a point, the individual feels drained of the enthusiasm he/she once felt towards an activity. Likewise, one is expected to be conversant with the various technologies and platforms in the digital world even without being trained or having a related working experience.

My Expectations: 2000 Hive Power and Becoming a Master in Digital Drawing

However, in the course of the coming year, I have come up with the following personal objectives amidst the generally held expectations. The first is to get to 2000 hive power before the end of the year. Hive Power is kind of a power and voice in the Hive blockchain, and reaching this benchmark will be a huge leap in my active participation with the community.

The second personal learning goals I want to achieve is to complete my digital drawing class and attain skills in digital arts Since i have admired beauty and creativity existed in the digital illustrations I thought it was high time I also learn how to do digital art myself and for this I registered for a course in digital drawing. However, this has been easier said than done as I am going to point out in the following sections. Digital drawing skill is something that can be learned; it takes time, effort and time, and a lot more of it than a I could dedicate.

The Reality Check

As much as such goals are quite feasible I have learned that it is sometimes very hard to set such high standards within the context of certain time limits. This goal of achieving 2,000 HP by the end of year requires me to be quite active; creating posts and participating in discussions for the most part of every day. This is not easy, not least of all due to other things that I can sometimes juggle along with school.

Likewise, the pressure to become an expert in digital drawing the moment one joins a project is also an elit making process. I have been forced to deal with the effectiveness of the transection that none of the best things in the world can be learned in a short time. It’s not about the finish line, it is about the ideas to learn from, the effort to practice on, and the patience that I needed to have on myself.

I think your goal of 2000HP by the year's end is commendable! I haven't set a goal, but I'm always interested in trying to collect as much Hive/HP as possible, but it's also pretty difficult for me to be a very active part of the community because of my schedule. I work a full-time job and I attend college online towards a bachelor's in business administration, so I totally understand the idea of a time-crunch because of education.

I wish you the best with it all and know I'll be working hard alongside you!

Thanks for your kind words I really appreciate your time

It is always easier said than done. Some expectations you can bring to reality if you put in hard work and dedication and getting 2k HP is really achievable if you make the sacrifice to do the things you mentioned.

Sure it really dedication for one to achieve a goal

To get to 2k HP, you only need to write a couple of good posts. I'd focus on quality over quantity, it's often the most efficient way ;)

Yeah I'm more concerned about quality. Thanks for your advice

Good for you :)

I think the virtue of patience lacks a lot these days. But you realise that doing that, achieving your goals requires that you become more in tune with the process than the expectation of the results. That’s cool honestly

Wow I really appreciate your words of encouragement. Thanks for stopping by

Our expectations can be reality if we diligently work towards it no matter how many times we fall along the line
I hope you achieve ur expectations at the right time

Thanks dear I'm hoping it comes to reality
