Hello, beautiful people! Welcome to my blog. It's a pleasure to have you in this space. Once again, welcome 🤗
I attended a seminar yesterday on goal setting and maximizing 2025, and it was an interesting experience. One of the speakers said something I could resonate with, something that struck a chord in me; he said to value people as we embark on the new year.
He went on to say, people are currency. And this made me realize how we have gotten so busy and caught up with pursuit of our ambitions that we have taken some relationships for granted. However, we must not forget that no man is an island; there are milestones in life that, in order to achieve them, you would need men to help you out.
In this coming year, as much as possible, do not despise or underestimate the power of people; set aside time to nurture and eat in valuable relationships.
And he gave different stories about how valuable relationships have helped people; one of such stories was about a man who was in serious trouble with the government, and when his friend heard about it in the news, within an hour he sent a private jet to the state he was in and called him to say, I know the government would not release you now, but there's a private jet at the airport to pick your family up and keep them in a safe place.
That was how he took his friend's family to safety and kept them in a big house in Lagos with domestic staff attending to them, pending when he was freed by the government.
Then the speaker went ahead to say that if not for the kind of relationship they had, this friend would not have done this for him. Some ladies have missed a potential suitor because of how they treated the person or other people.
Some have missed opportunities or jobs because of how they insulted the gate man at an organization, not knowing that that gate man has their boss's ear.
I also heard a story of how a lady who needed a job was helped by their security guard when he heard about it. He told her he was going to help her secure a good job because he knew few people in the government, and his reason for helping her was because, unlike other tenants in that compound that were looking down on him, this girl was always greeting him.
As ordinary as greeting is, that was what helped her. Some people might not have money to give to you, but they have a close relationship with the king.
These people are called the kingmakers. If you dishonor them, you can never become or meet the king.
People are very important, treat people with respect they are deserving
Remember that relationship gives us a firm balance in life
There are things money can't do but your relationship will buy it for you
