I think when you do thankless job, it's easy to feel like it goes unrecognized but I am sure, someone out there will recognize your effort and time. If you still feel unsatisfied with it, I think it's best to ask if the thing you do is still for you, otherwise, leaving is always an option too.

You’re right about the recognition, there are always someone watching us. At least our own conscience, hehe. That's the reason why I write these brain dumps, they help me put the things that happen to me in the right place.
