Unexpected New Year delights in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Are you back in the groove, back into the swing of things?

This is the first full week of the New Year all wrapped up, and I am now feeling like we are on our way.

I have no idea where we are on your way to, but we sure are as hell are on our way somewhere. That is aomething which I have not said for the last couple of years, so progress I think is on the way😄

The weather is still a bit odd at the moment. Feels more like than Autumn than it does Winter, but complain I shall not! Take today for example it was rain sun rainbows all jumbled up! The variety weather pack.

I want to start to immortalise a few more things to the blockchain ... you know the deal, new year ... new year's resolutions ...

Some of you might remember that I gotmyself a new toy 📷 last year, and I must admit that I do love flexing it from time to time.

Are you keeping fit and mobile?

Working off all those festive goodies that were consumed all too eagerly without pausing to think of the consequences?

I do make a habit of going out on the first, and this year was a walk up to our local park to feed the birds. Mrs T sometimes gets peeved when I take the camera as she knows it will be a stop start stop stop start kind of walk as I take the pictures whilst doing my Dr Doolittle bit🤣

It is typical though, if I don't take the camera, then that is when you see the unexpected things.

I remember before Christmas, we went through the park to Aldi to get some messages...

Fair enough thought I, no need for the camera!

What did we see?

I'll tell you what we fluffing saw!

Lots and lots about 30-40 oystercatchers on the football field. Of course we do get them down the beach a mile a way, but a flock that size inland at the park, I have never seen that. The camera of course was at home🤣

I digress!

Why change the habit of a lifetime I hear you ask..

Okay back to the park and walking and feeding the aquatic birds, then going to the monumental garden.

Oh that's pretty I can hear you say, but what the fluff is such an Unexpected New Year delight about that picture?

You see the hedge at the bottom, well go up a bit and look into the blue sky, do you see a roundy shape?

How about now, can you see something?

Yes the moon, here we are on a gorgeous winter's afternoon, with a gorgeous blue sky and the moon was coming to say Happy New Year!

I never take the tripod unless I am on my own, imagine the look on Mrs T's face if I spent more time fiddling around with a tripod! haha am not even going there.

Well I do wonder how much better my moon shots or any shots that I used the telezoom on would be, for that matter.

And now we have the last shot showing the daytime moon in all her glory.

It really does blow my mind, the detail that we have. I mean think for one second, just how far that is away.

You know I actually have not got a clue how my miles or kilometers or thousands I presume it is away from earth!

So there we have it, that was how we had some Unexpected New Year delights in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
