Greetings dear ecencials !! Hope all of you are in good spirits with a joyful day. Iam here to unfold few questions forwarded by @ericvancewalton for #memoirmonday. An interesting questionnaire format reminding us of our travel in the yesteryearr school days .
Did you know your current love in High school?
I didn't have one. Though studied in a co-ed school till my senior level, we had our own circle of thick friends, but no serious relationship.
What type of car did you drive?
We did not own any car until my school and college graduation level. Travel was mostly either by bus or train.
What kind of work did you do?
I used to take tuitions for the primary level after school hours. A great source of enjoyment mentally and financially. I used to get a meagre income to cover my petty expenses.
Where did you live?
Schooling and College in Chennai, South India 🇮🇳
Were you popular?
Not at all. But I was known as the sister of an Athelete, who was the school champion in Spprts. Honestly nothiñg to my credit.
What did you do after your graduation ceremony?
Myself and my friends had a good luncheon at a nearby restaurant, close to my college. Also we tasted variety of ice creams in a nearby cool bar. It was a great day of celebration. My parents were too excited and made some porridges.
Ever get suspended?
No. But got a warning. When I was in my senior secondary level me and my classmates (whole class) took two mini vans and went for picnic without the knowledge of my parents and teachers. But the very next day we were caught and parents were called for. Though it was a terrific moment for all of us on that particular day, later it became the best memorable moment in our lifetime.
If you could go back, what experience would you relive?
The golden moments, I spent with my friends. It was a time we get to meet them daily. I would be once again happy if I get to meet my high school teachers.
Did you ever skip school?
No because it was at a stone's throw. Any move will reach home.
What was your favorite subject?
English and SUPW - here we do stitching, drawing , Embroidery and paper crafts.
Do you still have your yearbook(s)?
During my time there wasn't any year books published. But once our batch left, lyear books are regular until now.
Did you follow your intended career path?
To be frank, in my schooling I never had any particular interest in any career. But then after my graduation, I wanted to work in a Bank, unfortunately I couldn't. So I took up a career as librarian after completing librarian degrèe course.
Who was your favorite teacher?
My English Teacher and Accounts teacher at Senior secondary level.
What was your hairstyle?
I had a long hair which meant we were supposed to two plaits with red band.
What were your favorite shoes?
No favourites but black buckeled shoes and white socks were compulsory. That was part of our uniform.
What was your favorite food?
Curd rice with veggies and aometime non veg fry.
Who was your favorite singer?
Yesudas (South Indian) ànd Udit Narayan (North Indian)

Seventeen

What’s changed the most about the world since you graduated?
Until schooling I studied in a school which was only at walkable distance, which meant the friends were also from nearby places only and we were much in contact.
But now even if its the same situation, two friends from same neighbourhood, hardly do they know each other.
How have you changed since high school?
I became more responsible, learn to be self independent. Learn to self control my anger. Infact Age is a big fact.
