Grèetings dear Hiveans!!! Weekend is nearing and infact, the schedule is getting a little tightened. Let's see what the weekend has, in store for us. So for today's prompt initiated by @ericvancewalton for #memoirmonday. Here is the link
What things are you proudest of in your life?
Despite several flaws and incapablities, their are things where I felt proud of myself. First and foremost for accepting what Iam
I was an average student in studies till High schook, but my circle of friends, believe me, were exceptional. It so happened, our school was hosting an Annual sports meet, also inviting other schools to be a part of this event. During that time period, the only possibility to contact other schools was through post letters.
So, they were looking for students with a good handwriting to write the address on the cover of the envelope. Here, I was assigned the duty of writing (then the advancement of computer was less) the names and address of each school and address on the envelope. That was really a matter of pride for me. So, you don't need to stand first in class to become popular.
Being a woman and to get the strength to tackle issues is not a small thing When looking into my personal aspect Iam proud being an obedient daughter to my parents, a supportive wife with a little bit of flaws which is quite natural in most marital relation and finally an understanding mother who guides positiveness to her children, in the struggling period
Being raised in a middle class family, with lots of responsibilities for my parents from paternal side, was a real challenge. So, as a child, like many other children, I and my siblings longed to have things which other children had. But, Knowing the possibility of less chance, we remained silent, That is also a matter of pride and one of the best learning experience which keeps us moving until now
I am happy with what I have. Coincidentally, a part of this nature, has been transferred to my children too, as their demands are less, whilst pertaining to the present generation. I felt sorry within, but was helpless at times. Today when I look back, I feel that was a perfect training period for them to face the future with more courage and will power, when they have a fall. Because now that they are grown up, they are able to handle and execute things smoothly.Definitely oanother matter of pride.
Last but not the least. I realized myself and my position In my professional career, only after I gave up my job. Being a full fledged librarian and apart from my regular duty, I was entrusted with other responsibilities. I was incharge of the Admission test, substitution incharge for staff, Book sale inchage during new academic year, in the cash counter in the absence of cashier and so on.... When i worked for 15 years I never new the importance of this prestigious job. But when I stepped down from the position and when I was represented as Jack in all trades by our Dear Principal , I knew the importance of my job. Definitely a matter of joy and pride.
So, this was my short story of pride. Thanking you for your valuable time and patience. The photos are captured from my Samsung Galaxy A50.
