What simple pleasures of life do you truly enjoy?
Enjoying every small moment is the biggest blessing in our life. The same should be imparted to the next generation, by, we being an example to them.
After losing my job, I spent most of my time in kitchen by cooking, cleaning, washing and above all, gardening as my hobby. To be honest,, this actually consumes most of my time. But I enjoy doing this, because once a while I get a hug and an applause whenever I try something new.
My children are grown up. They are in their graduation level. But still if they have any subject doubts they come to me. Sorry, not for me to teach them, instead they teach me. So they become thorough with that particular topic. Its just that I had to listen patiently. Iam learning something, for which I have no knowledge about.
I love reading books of my choice. I find great pleasure in reading a book of my choice. May be its a comic or a novel or a non-fiction one. My favorite author is Sudha Murthy, an Indian author, whose books, much relate to the day to day happenings in a middle class family. One of my favorite novel is Alchemist by Paulo Coelho.
I love eating street foods with my friends or family. Usually, such sellers have a movable cart where they occupy their food stuff and people stand around to have their share. Its really fun.
Walking along a shore is also something I enjoy. It gives me immense pleasure to walk along with my dear ones. Sitting along the shores for a longer time, watching the tides move up and down is another beautiful fact, I can ever deny.
Rains are another wonder of nature. Especially in my school days, I along with my friends make it a point to get drenched, either from home to school or vice versa. And, infact, we had too many beautiful lies to input to our teachers or parents, about our getting drenched regularly.
Let me share one of the most memorable pleasures of my school life. As we stayed in a defense colony, we had an open air theater and movies were being played every Sunday evening. The movie poster will be released a day before or two. So beforehand, me and my friends plan as to meet in which part of the open ground. Not to watch the movie, just to have fun by making noises.
Last but not the least, I love to travel once a while with my family. Here we get more time and space to exchange views. Infact, a face to face talk.
Enjoy those little things that are at your reach, rather than awaiting for something which may or may not happen. That's the beauty of life.
