Hello people!
The time has come, those bright and exciting days. We have everything decorated around us, now we just need to enjoy these Christmas days.
And today is precisely Friday, the week is ending and it seems that we already have time for what is coming, next week! But do we really have time to enjoy or do obligations continue? Is that why we don't perceive those days as when we were children?
That's what I'm thinking. There's work, that which continues, which gives you some days, but it's not that vacation period when school ends. But then, before you become a working adult, you go through university and you realize that you're somewhere in between. Ok, they give you vacation until January, but... there's a lot, a lot to study because the exams start the next day. Can you enjoy it like that?
In my case, as I've already mentioned in several posts, I've returned to university so I have both disadvantages, I still have to work and at the same time I'll have to start studying for the month of January. All at once. But I hope to have some small time to enjoy... being with my family, walking in the afternoon to see the lights of the city, or during the day in those few but warm hours of sunshine visiting markets!
I remember those moments as children when time seemed to stand still, and we went to see lights, toys and markets. Like for example the Christmas market in Plaza Mayor in Madrid, in the capital of Spain. I recommend visiting the city at this time (if you have time and free days of vacation of course) because there is a good atmosphere and there are also many more things to see...
This market is over 150 years old and there are many traditional stalls and always lots of people. But it is in those moments and places where we feel happy and relaxed, without thinking about doing anything else.
We are no longer children with many days off from vacation, now we have to take advantage when conditions allow us, if we have days off from work or it hasn't occurred to us to re-enroll at university and complicate our lives. And if you have many obligations (uf I'm gonna be particularly busy), take a breath and try to organize yourself so that you can at least have a little more peace of mind on the most important days of Christmas and be able to be with your loved ones. Sometimes it can be difficult, but you have to try, you have to try to continue enjoying Christmas even if it is shorter. Cheer up! And...
Merry Christmas!
