Well Hello There Fellow Technicians And Hivers!
The Result Of Fault Finding!
Front bumper gone! Front left headlight gone!
Yeah we thought it might be the problem so we chucked all of it!
Laughs nah my people! This is merely the result of fault finding, it can be easy sometimes and more than often it can be hectic! Not something you want billed with by the hour!
Fortunately for this guy he is buddies with the big boss at the company so he is getting all of this for free... except for the parts he needs!
The otherside of this story is hectic though! Yeah we were the second option for this guy and now we've got to sort out someone else's miss diagnosis? I suppose! But we shall get to the hectic part soon enough!
Performance Problems!
See here's the whack part of this job!
This guy has a guy in his hometown which is quite the ways away from us and this guy of his did "Injectors" on the vehicle. Now in truth that is one very big miss diagnosis! I wonder if he paid for the injectors at the end of the day?
The "Injectors" were not the problem with this vehicle... The problem was that it had a boost leak... A major boost leak!
This I confirmed the moment I pulled it off the lowback! You can hear the swooooshing of it when you remove your foot from the throttle of the vehicle... How did this guy of his miss that?
Small Problem, Big Consequences!
Now that is really a small problem that led to big money being thrown around hey!
Notice the pipe only has one clamp on it? Well yeah the other snapped, didn't get a photo of it though xD!
This was also after we cleaned it out and fitted it back. Now here's the catch we cleaned out everything, washed the oil of from it and re-fitted it back in with a new clamp!
I almost said the vehicle was good to go home! Almost and that was after bossman drove the vehicle around and he also said everything seems to be in order.
I Have A Sensitive Eye!
So when bossman came back I gave everything the inspection and I thought well I should at-least check if the pipe is still doing fine!
It was barely hanging on there! Laughs, it didn't pop off but it did start pulling away and this guy was going to drive a good distance and therefor I told bossman this thing doesn't look right to me.
It started pulling off, so what we did then was remove all of the boost pipes along with the intercooler. We then sent the intercooler in for a massive and good cleaning! On top of that we ordered a bunch of new Boost pipes for the vehicle, we told the owner that this crap is going to happen constantly now.
The best bet is to replace all of them and get it done with. He agreed!
A Bonus For The Day!
Now this is something that can cut the life out of any happy mechanic! This crap is absurd! Oh absolutely absurd!
This is a bolt on a Audi's rear control arm! Now this control arm is shot to bits and we've to take it out now the problem is the fuel tank is in the way of it! Laughs
These manufacturers are out to get us I swear this to you guys and gals! Be carefull!
