Well Hello There Fellow Technicians And Hivers!

A Weird Request!

This is from a Ford dealership ey! Hectic!

So what happened here was that the transmission fell of the gearbox jack and that is almost never a good thing, not almost it always a bad thing!

So what they wanted us to do was to take all the internals and swap them over into a new casing, this didn't make sense at all since the transmission they sent us to use the casing off is in a much much better condition than the one that fell off the jack!

Okay but let's see what we've got here!

Oh She's Pretty Inside!

Actually that is a cluster fuck! Laughs sorry for the words I use!

But with these Ford really went from simplistic to confusing! Look at all the wires and what not's it's starting to look a lot like a Nissan's valve body!

I have to mention that these are the first one's we're getting and after we got this one they started piling in real fast! We've got four of them in the shop now, no... wait.... six!

It's without a doubt a real beauty on the inside though, I can work with these but I think these are going to give us a headache real fast!

The Idea Went To Rubbish!

So the idea was to swap out the converter and the valvebody and have it going back to the shop to get fitted. What we then did was we decided to flush out the filter instead and just close this box up for them.

This box is in an insanely good condition, I don't see the need to pull it apart just to stuff it with worn parts. They want something back that actually works. We are going to take a punch here and send this just as it is!

Drain The Old Away!

Now without a doubt I do want to get all of the oil removed! I don't like sending transmissions around with oil in and the more oil we can get out of it the more clean oil they can pump back in hey!

There really isn't any particular reason for this other than the fact that I feel more comfortable doing this than not doing this!

It sounds weird I know but I did let it drain for an hour or two! Technicians don't normally let anything drain out, but these things mahn you just have to! You have to! It keeps dripping and spilling for days if you let it! xD

Well she's all ready to get out there! The torque converter was strapped in quite nicely with the factory made tool and she was put on a pallet. Now we're just waiting for the couriers!

Let me show you how the original transmission looked, damned hectic!

Not Of The Best Looking!

There really isn't all that much to say about this... Not at all! It's seen some hectic miles! That much I can tell you and it has been driven hard, that much is also certain!

The funny thing is these 10 speeds haven't even been on the market that long and they are already pecking it out! I sure hope Bossman's holds up! It would be a shame if we had to fix his so soon! Laughs!
