Well Hello There Fellow Technicians And Hivers!

It's been one hell of a day! I did some major teardowns on some new jobs and well one old one! The old one made a comeback!

I wont be pointing out everything this time around nah! Instead I decided on quickly covering the basic points on what might look like problems! Sheesh I didn't think I would get as much done as I did today but I really gutted up those transmissions today!

Not all the jobs were of a fun sort though.

A Honda?

Now to tell it plain and simple this one is new! I think this might have been my very first tear down on a Honda transmission!

Yeah they don't normally break, it takes a special kind of stupid to tear those apart! Especially the way this one has been driven! Laughs!

There really isn't a lot going on inside this one and to tell it plain this one tore down real easy! I suppose simplicity lasts longer than complications?
Will I do another of these? Heck yeah!

Always A Volkswagen In The Bunch!

Given we don't always get a manual to teardown... actually we almost never get a manual to teardown!

I do feel somewhat confused here now! I've done quite a few in the past but it's been almost a year since my last teardown! But I'll whack this one out like it's nothing!

This one is a mess though! It didn't break any gears persay but there was a bearing failure! A big one at that too and when that happens the shafts tend to lay down lower than they should and it closes the clearance between the spinning gear and the casing!

Then this is what you end up with! A big mess!

Sheesh! People Don't care for a regular service to transmissions hey!

Another Volkswagen!

This one is from Audi centre! Yeah well VW and Audi is in the same building so what do you know!

This was a odd one! Really it was, the thing is Audi already started tearing it down and then they assembled it again, so every bolt was already loose and hitting it with the impact just felt real damn weird! Like I was hitting the air with the impact!

Now without a doubt this was a easy teardown! I was under the impression that this was going to be a hard one to tear down but everything just fell out!

Now those are some pretty big gears ey guys? Dirty as hell too!

Not entirely sure what Audi wants us to do with this one since the casing is buggered up on this build.... We might need to replace the casing it's real bad! The gears and everything else... well those are just fine!
Wonder what a casing would cost? Too much I guess!

The Comeback!

An old Isuzu, probably some of the better ones!

Now this one has a small problem, something we overlooked. Small problem big work! Laughs well for whoever took it out again xD! Laughs! Well we've got work too... we need to tear it down completely!

All just for this little piece that is worn!
What happens is that the transmission jumps out of reverse, meh it's a bugger! I hate getting comebacks! But at-least this one wont cost us an arm and a leg! Sort of a quick fix as well!

Last But Not Least! A BMW!

Now this car gave me a love for BMW! Just seeing the stance there on the lift! AHHHHH

Okay but seriously, this isn't something fancy though, there are a lot of transmissions copied from this one!

It's actually quite boring to look at right? It looks stupid I would say!

And there you have it! Now the comparison between auto and manual can be clearly seen! Just a bunch of clutches... and some more clutches and well..... some more clutches!

This one appears to have a converter problem with some of the clutch packs that are burnt! This is actually a real easy fix to say the least! That's what I like about these autos... people think they are so damn fancy and complicated and yes they are but you just need to sit and think about the problems and things will become clear as you go!

Dang I'm glad this day is done with!
