RE: The Critical Clean!

It is indeed beautiful, but what is it exactly? What does it do in the car?

Sort:

It's a Valve-Body. Located in automatic transmissions. It is the thing that causes the shifts when driving. Very delicate little thing.

Thanks, amazing structure!

It does hey, I can't help but wonder why these channels aren't straight but curved and long and twisty.

It could have been built so much more simpler but there must be a reason for that.

Is there just liquid pumping in these channels or a mechanical stick or something? If latter this could explain the curvature, to avoid getting stuck?

It's just liquid with a few balls here and there that close channels. There are straight pistons in aswell but they are contained within their own circular tubes.

So yes just oil moving through them.

I'll do some research on that topic.
