Finally

After finishing 5 times as second ad two times as third in the World Championship Rally, Thierry Neuville and his co-pilot Martijn Wydaeghe have finally clinched it. He is world champion in a very tough sport, where fitness has to be combined with cool and consistency. And of course you have to have a good car. And that is the case with his hybrid Hyundai.

His last opponent was his teammate Ott Tanak from Estonia. But he crashed on Sunday and therefore the championship was decided. Even not finishing would have made Neuville champion.

Headlines in the Belgian newspapers, a world champion in a mondial sport, that doesn’t happen every day!
