Fairytale

It was already a fairytale before the final, Mike De De Decker beat Damon Heta, Gary Anderson, James Wade and Dimitri Vandenbergh on his way to the final. In the final he met World Champion, Luke Humphries. So, it was a very difficult draw for his very first televised final, a major tournament!

But Mike was outstanding, kept his cool, and played like played his 20th final. He went 1-4 up, but then Humphries took it to another level. And 3 sets later it was 4-4, but Mike kept his composure and took the next two sets to win his very first major! A great day for Belgian darts!
