Since the beginning of Afcon tournaments, the least I didn't expect came out to be a result. Of all the matches that Nigeria played, Ivory coast was the country I didn't see it could delayed for the Nigeria super eagle to win.
I was afraid when Nigeria met with south African team, honestly, it was where I was having my heart beaten so fast because I saw how strong they was and I didn't expect the super eagle was going to sailed through in the match but they did won the south Africans in the penalty shoot out and that was when they qualified for finals and sent the south Africans to be competing in the third position of the tournament.
The feelings that I got in Nigeria and ivory coast was that Nigeria was going to win them straight winning but the game turned out to be in another dimension and Ivory coast was the peoples that won the game, I got really angry and when I looked at the faces of the people who watched the football match in the same viewing center with me.
They were all angry because it was a game that almost everyone has predicted that it will be a win for the Nigeria super eagle, I felt really bad in a way I have not felt before and I wish football was magic, I will blow a whistle and the ball will get inside the goalposts of Ivory coast for Nigerians super eagle to win.
But neither of those things are authorized in football, players played with legs and untill the ball is scored by leg's that is when the goal will be accepted.
It was really unbelievable that super eagle of Nigeria loose the Afcon trophy for Ivory coast and was named in the second position of the tournament, I wanted nothing than a winning from them in the finals but my thoughts was not true.
It was from that yesterday that I learnt something that it is not good to put our hopes into football, because to saved ourselves from heartbreak we must be bold enough to know that it is either your team is defeated or they defeat their opponent team.
In general, it was a win for Africans, the Afcon was played in harmony and success, congratulations Ivory coast the winning team, congratulations to Nigeria who took the second position, congratulations to South African who took the third position, congratulations to Congo.
It was a good tournament, where all Africans country's compete. God bless Africans, God bless the supporters of Afcon.
