Hello to everyone in the Hive Food community! Today I bring you a new post dedicated to one of the best things in life: sharing, eating and travelling. A day ago, I shared through the Hive platform, what was the beginning of a journey (from Venezuela to Nevada) that led me to know many things, people and places. I present to you one of the first publications that I will dedicate to review some of the franchises, restaurants and food stalls that I visited while in Las Vegas, Nevada. I hope you like it. So let's get started.
When I arrived in Las Vegas I was blown away by its giant buildings, filled with casinos, entertainment venues, live shows, street performers and of course, places to eat. One of the things that always excited me about this country (and that I wanted to see), were those fast food places that have a 50's style design. With all the staff dressed in quaint uniforms, where they stop by your seat and ask you if you want more coffee. And that's how I got to know In-N-Out Burger, one of the most successful fast food chains in the southern United States.
¡Hola a todos en la comunidad de Hive Food! El día de hoy traigo una nueva publicación dedicada a una de las mejores que cosas que tiene la vida: compartir, comer y viajar. Y es que hace un día dí a conocer por la plataforma de Hive, lo que fue el inicio de un viaje (de Venezuela a Nevada) que me llevó a conocer muchísimas cosas, personas y lugares. Les presento una de las primeras publicaciones que dedicaré para reseñar sobre algunas de las franquicias, restaurantes y puestos de comida que visite estando en Las Vegas, Nevada. Espero que les guste. Así que comencemos con ello.
Cuando llegué a Las Vegas quedé anonadada con sus edificios gigantes, repletos de casinos, centros de entretenimiento, shows en vivos, artistas callejeros y por supuesto, lugares para comer. Una de las cosas que siempre me ilusionaron sobre este país (y que quería conocer), eran aquellos locales de comida rápida que tienen un diseño al estilo de los 50's. Con todo y el personal vestido con uniformes pintorescos, dónde pasan por tu asiento y te preguntan si quieres más cafe. Y así es como conocí, In-N-Out Burguer, una de las cadenas de comida rápida más exitosas del sur de Estados Unidos.
In-N-Out Burger was founded by Harry and Esther Snyder, a married couple who materialised the idea of getting fast food through drive-throughs. They opened the first stand in Baldwin Park, California, on 22 October 1948. This was motivated by their experiences during the Second World War and a past full of precarious situations. A winning idea and the need to bear fruit. This is what Lynsi Snyder (the current owner of the franchise and granddaughter of Harry and Esther), tells the story for all those who want to know about the history of the fast food chain.
The location I visited is located in downtown Las Vegas along Sahara Avenue at 4888. Nowadays, In-N-Out Burger stands offer "eat-in or eat-out" service, as well as self-service unlike before. My sister and I ate inside to get the full experience. With a very nice aesthetic, combining white and red, along with some emblematic palm trees, which you will find both in the exterior and interior design of the building, as well as in the food packaging and staff uniforms. We ordered the classic Double-Double burger. This comes with a burger and fries. There is also the combo that includes a drink.
In-N-Out Burguer, fue fundado por Harry y Esther Snyder, un matrimonio que materializó la idea de conseguir comida rápida por medio de los autoservicios. Cuestión que dió apertura al primer puesto, en Baldwin Park, California, el 22 de Octubre de 1948. Esto fue motivado gracias a las experiencias que tuvieron ambos durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial y un pasado lleno de situaciones precarias. Una idea ganadora y la necesidad de obtener frutos. Es lo que Lynsi Snyder (la actual dueña de la franquicia y nieta de Harry y Esther), se encarga de contar para todos los que desean conocer sobre la historia de la cadena de comida rápida.
El local que visite se encuentra en el centro de Las Vegas, por el Sahara Avenue, en la 4888. Actualmente los puestos de In-N-Out Burguer ofrecen el servicio de "comer dentro o fuera del local", además del autoservicio a diferencia de antes. Mi hermana y yo comimos dentro del local para vivir la experiencia completa. Con una estética muy bonita, que combina el blanco y el rojo, junto a unas emblemáticas palmeras, que encontraremos tanto en el diseño exterior e interior del edificio, cómo en los empaques de comida y uniforme del personal. Nosotras pedimos la hamburguesa clásica del lugar, que es la Double-Double. Esta viene con su respectiva hamburguesa y papas fritas. Aunque también está el combo que incluye la bebida.
As you can see in the picture, the burger has a double portion of meat, lettuce, onion, cheese and tomato. Simple. It was really good as the burger is prepared on the spot, which guarantees that you are eating freshly cooked meat. It was juicy, not too spicy (excellent for my tastes) and just the right proportion to keep you satisfied. Like the burger, the fries are also prepared instantly (including peeling, cutting and frying), which makes them crispy and tasty as you can tell they're not from a packet. You can refill your drink, which includes sodas and coffee.
In-N-Out Burger is only in the southern part of the country, in 7 states, including of course Nevada and California. Even though they didn't serve coffee to my table (hahaha, just kidding), I really enjoyed eating there and in fact, I went back a few more times for a couple of burgers. The total price for two burgers with fries and soft drink was about 20$ approximately. Which is an affordable price and understandable for the quality of the service. Besides, it is almost impossible to find food at a lower price than that. Finally my friends, I hope you enjoyed this post. I like to realize that Mcdonald's is not the only burger franchise and above all, how many things I have to know. Thank you so much for stopping by.
Cómo pueden apreciar en la imágen, la hamburguesa lleva doble porción de carne, lechuga, cebolla, queso y tomate. Sencilla. Se encontraba realmente buena pues la hamburguesa la preparan al instante, lo que te garantiza que estés comiendo una carne fresca y recién cocida. Estaba jugosa, no demasiado condimentada (excelente para mis gustos) y una proporción ideal para quedar satisfecho. Al igual que la hamburguesa, las papas fritas también son preparadas al instante (incluyendo el proceso de pelar, cortar y freír), los que las hace crujientes y ricas pues se nota que no son de paquete. Puedes rellenar tu bebida, dentro de las cuales puedes obrar por sodas y café.
In-N-Out Burguer solo se encuentra en la zona sur del país, en 7 estados, incluyendo por supuesto a Nevada y California. A pesar de que no me sirvieron el café a mí mesa (jajaja, solo bromeo), me gustó mucho comer allí y de hecho, volví algunas veces más por un par de hamburguesas. El precio total por dos hamburguesas con papas fritas y refresco fue de unos 20$ aproximadamente. Lo cual es un precio accesible y entendible por la calidad del servicio. Además de que es casi imposible encontrar comida con un menor precio a ese. Finalmente amigos míos, espero que hayan disfrutado de esta publicación. Me gusta darme cuenta de que Mcdonald's no es la única franquicia de hamburguesas y sobre todo, cuántas cosas tengo por conocer. Muchísimas gracias por pasar por aquí.
