Hola chicos, feliz día! Espero que se encuentren super bien y que su semana este transcurriendo de la mejor manera. Hace unos días les compartí lo que fue mi celebración de cumpleaños, sin embargo, no les compartí a fondo como fue mi experiencia en el que es uno de mis restaurantes favoritos, por lo que el día de hoy les contaré que tal estuvo, sin más, espero que se queden hasta el final.

Como el titulo lo indica el restaurante lleva por nombre Crepes & Waffles y la razón por la que me gusta tanto es porque a demás de vender platillos deliciosos y ciertamente, una gran variedad de ellos, sus precios son bastante asequibles.

Junto con mi padres y pareja decidimos ir a cenar tipo 6:30-7:00 de la noche y para nuestra sorpresa el lugar estaba bastante lleno pese a que era Domingo, pero bueno, gracias a Dios pudimos conseguir una mesa justo en la terraza del lugar y es que para ponerlos un poco en contexto, el restaurante cuenta con varias zonas, la terraza que esta dividida en dos partes, la zona con aire acondicionado que también esta dividida en dos partes y por último el jardín.

A few days ago I shared with you what my birthday celebration was like, however, I didn't share in depth how was my experience in one of my favorite restaurants, so today I will tell you how it was, without further ado, I hope you stay until the end.

As the title indicates the restaurant is called Crepes & Waffles and the reason why I like it so much is because besides selling delicious dishes and certainly a great variety of them, their prices are quite affordable.

Together with my parents and my partner we decided to go to dinner at 6:30-7:00 in the evening and to our surprise the place was quite full even though it was Sunday, but well, thank God we were able to get a table right on the terrace of the place and to put it in context, the restaurant has several areas, the terrace which is divided into two parts, the air-conditioned area which is also divided into two parts and finally the garden.

Ahora bien, al llegar escaneamos el código que estaba justo en la mesa y pudimos ver todo lo que tenía el menú. Si les soy sincera, este día quería probar algo diferente ya que por lo general suelo pedir crepes de boloñesa con queso y una limonada de coco o en su defecto de hierbabuena. Pero este día no sé si se debe a que era mi cumpleaños o que, de alguna forma quería aventurarme por otras opciones.

Viendo el menú y antojándome de algo picante, me decidí por un Crepes de pollo Mexicano que como su mismo nombre lo indica era ligeramente picante. El crepes contenía: Pollo en salsa mexicana y chipotle, queso rallado, lechuga, crema agria, ají y pico de gallo, por un valor de $28.100 pesos Colombianos ($7.19 Dólares).

El platillo a mi parecer era bastante grande, perfecto para una persona o para dos por si no tienes tanta hambre. Cuando pruebas el primer bocado en seguida puedes sentir el picante, sin embargo, la tortilla del crepe que por cierto, estaba bastante suave, ayudó a controlarlo. Traía bastante pollo y la lechuga al igual que las verduras del pico de gallo se sentían super frescas. Después de comer varios bocados puedes sentir más fuerte el picante en la boca pero realmente es bastante tolerable, cada bocado estaba delicioso.

Como esta vez también quería probar una opción de bebida diferente opté por una soda de frambuesa y Hierbabuena, la cual tuvo un valor de $10.200 pesos Colombianos ($2.61 Dólar) Siéndoles sincera, a mi parecer no combinó mucho con el plato fuerte, ya que esta bebida tenía textura de la frambuesa y la hierbabuena y al combinarla con el sabor del plato fuerte no era tan agradable a mi paladar, pero claro, todo es cuestión de gustos. Creo que si se degusta sola o con otro platillo puede resultar ser una buena opción.

Now, when we arrived we scanned the code that was right on the table and we could see everything on the menu. To be honest, this day I wanted to try something different since I usually order bolognese crepes with cheese and a coconut or mint lemonade. But this day I don't know if it was because it was my birthday or that, somehow I wanted to venture into other options.

Looking at the menu and craving something spicy, I decided on a Mexican Chicken Crepes which as the name suggests was slightly spicy. The crepes contained: Chicken in Mexican and chipotle sauce, shredded cheese, lettuce, sour cream, chili and pico de gallo, for a value of $28,100 Colombian pesos ($7.19 dollars).

The dish in my opinion was quite large, perfect for one person or for two if you are not that hungry. When you try the first bite you can immediately feel the spiciness, however, the tortilla of the crepe, which by the way, was quite soft, helped to control it. There was plenty of chicken and the lettuce as well as the pico de gallo vegetables felt super fresh. After eating several bites you can feel the spiciness stronger in your mouth but it's really quite tolerable, every bite was delicious.

As this time I also wanted to try a different drink option I opted for a raspberry and mint soda, which had a value of $10,200 Colombian pesos ($2.61 USD). To be honest, in my opinion it did not go well with the main course, as this drink had the texture of the raspberry and mint and when combined with the flavor of the main course it was not so pleasant to my palate, but of course, it's all a matter of taste. I think that if tasted alone or with another dish it can be a good option.

Por otro lado mis padres se decidieron por un Crepe pollo Thai que al igual que el mío era ligeramente picante, sin embargo, este si no era tan fuerte como el mío. Este contiene pechuga de pollo y champiñones portobello, con una mezcla de sabores orientales a base de curry y maracuyá. La verdad estaba super rico y como pueden ver en la foto es bastante grande, perfecto para compartir. Este platillo tuvo un valor de $29.200 pesos Colombianos ($7.47 Dólares)

Fer optó por un crepe de Pollo, queso y champiñones, que debo decir me encantó, los sabores eran bastante suaves, el crepe contenía bastante queso que al cortar un bocado se derretía con facilidad, simplemente delicioso. Este tuvo un valor de $26.700 pesos Colombianos ($6.83 Dólares)

Por lo general en este restaurante con cada orden te obsequian una canasta de pan que junto con las pastas o los crepes y sus salsas sabe de infarto. Tanto así, que al final mi papá guardo uno para acompañar un cafecito que decidió pedir después, ya se podrán imaginar esta delicia.

On the other hand, my parents went for a Thai Chicken Crepe which was slightly spicy like mine, but not as strong as mine. This one contains chicken breast and portobello mushrooms, with a mix of oriental flavors based on curry and passion fruit. It was really delicious and as you can see in the picture it is quite big, perfect for sharing. This dish had a value of $29,200 Colombian pesos ($7.47 dollars).

Fer opted for a Chicken, cheese and mushroom crepe, which I must say I loved, the flavors were quite soft, the crepe contained a lot of cheese that melted easily when you cut a bite, simply delicious. This had a value of $26,700 Colombian pesos ($6.83 dollars).

Usually in this restaurant with each order they give you a basket of bread that along with the pasta or crepes and their sauces tastes great. So much so, that in the end my dad kept one to accompany a coffee that he decided to order later, you can imagine this delight.

Realmente ese restaurante me encanta y siempre será una de las primeras opciones en mi lista, lo único que debo reconocer no es tanto de mi agrado y que claro, es algo que deberían mejorar, es que al ser un restaurante que se llena tanto y al tener tanas zonas la atención suele ser un poco demorada. Al finalizar por ser el día de mi cumpleaños me regalaron un rico mini waffle con salsa de arequipe el cual estaba delicioso y a todos nos gustó.

Como pueden ver los precios son bastante cómodos y la calidad de los platillos es realmente muy buena, ya me decidí que cada vez que vaya probaré un platillo diferente a ver que tal 😋 Espero que les haya gustado la reseña y por supuesto, les haya servido como opciones a considerar por si se les antoja pedir algo picante, ligeramente picante o simplemente con sabores suaves. I really love this restaurant and it will always be one of the first options on my list, the only thing that I must admit is not so much to my liking and that of course, is something that should be improved, is that being a restaurant that is so crowded and having so many areas, the service is usually a little delayed. At the end of the meal, since it was my birthday, they gave me a delicious mini waffle with arequipe sauce which was delicious and we all liked it.
