Yesterday my daughter was having graduation ceremony. She graduated from junior school. Next year, she will enter senior high school. I prefer to enroll her to a vocational school. A vocational school is different from a senior school in general.
My daughter is 15 years old now. She spends three years in junior school. It is state school so it is free. Next year, my daughter will enter a private school. The tuition fee is around $20 per month.
I personally do not agree with the graduation ceremony in a hall. The school rented a hall. Every student was charged $35. In the past, the graduation ceremony was held in the school hall or yard. I do not know why most schools now hold graduation ceremony in halls. In fact, there are some parents who object to the costs. Yet, we all should follow the school rules.
Education in Indonesia is not 100 % free. In state school, there are a few tuition that we must pay. The monthly tuition is free but all students should pay outing class activities. The charge of the outing class activities often too expensive. A student who do not join the activities should pay 25% to 50%.
Generally, the school has given the best to my daughter though I am not satisfied with some outing class activities that burden me personally because the fee is too high.
In the coming years, I hope everything will be fine. My daughter should have a skill after she graduates from the vocational school. I also plan to enroll her to job training center after that.
