Over two decades ago, I had an argument with my dad about a particular decision as regards my future. Of course I might be right but never gave his opinion a thought. You know I just felt "eh pa, you love to impose your choices on everyone, as a young teenager I too can make choices for myself"
Well, few years later he passed and gradually it started getting dawn to me about those decisions he asked me to make. At first I shunned it and ignored the reality that what he said way backing were becoming dawn, but now it heart breaking I never listened or considered his decisions.
Going Tru my archives stumbled on his pictures and I could literally hear his thick voice telling me "oh dear, if you had given my thought a try maybe...."
So the question is do parents see the FUTURE? I mean how could he have known somethings where going to be a reality in two three decades when it doesn't even make sense then?
As much as it's good to understand your child and help them in the path they choose I also think as parents it's helpful to see and guide them into a brighter future.
With my experience I believe parents sometimes take a peep into future.
