I did some curating of my collection while packing for our move back home to North Carolina. Most of my collection is nonfiction, so I culled books that were duplicating info other books covered sufficiently. Some political titles I keep for the sake of preserving history from revisionists/communists. I also have a lot of ebooks and audiobooks, but I will also get a hard copy of any book I suspect Amazon might decide to "disappear." Sad to have to think that way, but history tells us we need monasteries and eccentric librarians and hoarding rich people to protect things sometimes.

Oh, that's an interesting point about preserving the records through physical copies of books. Thanks for that.
