Alright, so other than the recent stupidity and drama. 2024 is kicking off crazily. The 2024 election is many months away, but it's clear that the Democrats are in disarray. Latino support for Joe Biden is falling, but Democrats can keep the enthusiasm for other politicians. Yet, I continue with the idea that Democrats need to start taking Latinos seriously, or else it will cost them the 2024 election.
The Latino and the black vote is for the Democratic party, but Latinos have felt a little distant. In my discussions with some Latinos in Florida and Connecticut, both agree that they feel as if Democrats don't have genuine ideas for Latin American issues. For me, Democrats do seem to want to avoid discussions about drugs and cartels. I do not believe that Democrats truly have solutions for these issues. Another big problem is that inflation isn't perfect, and the recent climb in 2022 and 2023 has angered many.
Latinos may be less inclined to vote for Democrats at the Senate and congressional level, but the majority will. Perhaps 55-58% will vote in favor of Democrats in those positions. Latinos do NOT trust Joe Biden at the presidential level, and polls have revealed that Donald Trump has improved among Latinos. Latinos may shape the 2024 election, even considering Trump's legal battles.
Joe Biden may be feeling very confident due to Donald Trump's ballot expulsions but the Democrats will suffer if Biden fails to succeed in improving America if he is to win the 2024 election. In my opinion, the 2024 election is an election for the future of the Latino vote in Presidential elections.
