Wow love the souvenir buns that you feature. This is such a good story. I'll admit I learned something new today. Thank you for sharing such a fascinating story.         Yes, the "Hanafuda" is a traditional Japanese playing card deck. In English, they are called "flower cards." The most common Hanafuda game is called "Koi Koi" - the game play is easy enough, but the real skill is in getting high-scoring combinations, as this video explains:
