Good evening, Friends
Welcome to my post for the #Monomad competition
Since ancient times, alcohol has played a major role in society. For its own good, and for its own detriment. Since its inception, alcohol has aroused emotions, moved hearts, clouded reason and sold by the millions.
Without a shadow of a doubt, if you speak to a Portuguese person who lives in Lisbon, or who has passed through Lisbon, if you ask them about Ginjinha, they will not only have a geographical reference, but also a memory of this precious liqueur made from sour cherries, which makes so many taste buds jump with emotion.
Today I'd like to share with you a little session I did when I was in the middle of Largo de São Domingos, observing the hustle and bustle that this feathery house with its tall, old doors and clean face causes!
Whether it's to cool off or to warm up, there's every reason to go in and order a ginjinha... The only question you'll be asked is: "With or without them?"
And that question has to do with the two ways of drinking this nectar of the lesser gods... With sour cherries or without them.
Such a popular spot is just the perfect opportunity to photograph the people passing by...
