Mono Monday a Nautical theme

Good Morning another week begins and as is my habit for mondays today I am sharing a few Mono Images and this week I have gone with a nautical theme

Starting with this little House boat I guess one would call it, tied up at a Marina on Popes Island for a while, Perhaps apply named the Barge Inn

over winter when I visited this spot I noticed the house boat wasnt there anymore,
I wonder what they story of this boat and its owner is, is he travelling around on it, or is it owned by someone who works on the docks or fishing boats and just docks where he can at the best rates he can get

I thought it would be cool living in a bot like this, but then added an after thought in nice weather, when storms roll in and the water r4ally gets rocking i would not imagine it would be so much fun on there

Her eis another shot of it from a different angle
Not sure it if it has a coupleof floor sinside or just high ceilings

A fisahing boat by the name of Sundown, I believe if I remember rightly it was at this pier which is by a boat ramp, and they had a big trailer they were trying to load it on I considered staying to watch and catch shots of it being loade donto a trailer, but I had a early appointment that morning and coulnt stay any longer unfortunatly

Have a great day

I love the barge inn! It's a cool idea, but you could only really move it during good weather. And you're right, when a storm blows in you could get really seasick!

I would have loved to have bene able to see how it looke dinside

Moving house on a boat
I like the risk, but crossing the ocean when the storm hits that it's something else.
Thank you for sharing this exceptional photo

Have a great day

mono Monday presents amazing black and white images. Where a floating house appears as a symbol of beauty. Everything there seems to be almost mobile. Specific equipment of the tower. Very smooth looking white with black. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful feeling.

Have a great day

yes sir

I love pictures like the one of the Barge Inn that have a bit of mystery attached. And what a great name.

I once had a painting that contained a chair in front of and angeled towards an open double door leading onto a balcony. The chair had a pair on clothes and a book on it. I spent hours looking at it and wondering what the story was.

Was the preson called away having to leave suddenly, were they just out of shot on the balcony?

I couldn't resist trying to find out something about the Barge Inn so I googled it but I just got UK results so I tried chatgbt and got this.

The Barge Inn was a converted barge that had been transformed into a restaurant, complete with indoor and outdoor seating areas. It offered stunning views of the marina and Plymouth Harbor.

Unfortunately, the Barge Inn closed its doors permanently in 2016. Its closure was due to a combination of factors, including rising maintenance costs and changes in ownership.

And although chatgbt informs me it did indeed have 2 floors it is counting the outside deck as one of them so there was, in fact, only one inside.

So there you go. Mystery solved. 😁

thanks for taking the time, hard to believe it was a restaurant but se4ems it was

Fantastic selection of photos for this Mono Monday set. I like this idea of monochrome in different shades. Wonderful shots @tattoodjay friend, as always 🔝👍🏻🙂

Barge Inn 😆 I like the little fishing boat looks very cool in black and white. Looks timeless but also hard working, honest

thanks have a great day

Nice photos... it must be cool to stay a night or two on this houseboat, especially in summer.
Have a great week

Yeah I would have loved to seen what it was like inside

I've always wondered about living in a houseboat, @tattoodjay !
