Description from Strava:
My band at playing at Goatfest in Codicote today and it is looking like a lovely day. Yesterday was really wet and I really needed my umbrella whilst timekeeping at parkrun. There was still a good turnout.
I did my usual longer loop today and it was nice out there. There were lots of slugs around on the paths again. I wonder if some of them get dried out. There are signs on both sides of Fairfield warning that you cannot drive though. On the other end they tell you not to follow your GPS, but I would hope the maps have been updated. Of course you can get through if walking, running or cycling and it provides extra options for me.
I saw a few other runners today, but nobody I know.
The pace was variable, but not too bad overall. It took me a while to get going as usual. I am happy enough if it is under 6min/km. I did shorten it a little in Stotfold as I needed to get back to prepare for the gig. I have prepared a setlist to print off as I do not want to rely on my tablet. For drumming I just need a few notes about each song. We are on at 3pm, but will stay to see the other acts that include a big star of musicals. Monday is a bank holiday, so I may have a lie-in tomorrow, providing I do not wake up early anyway as is often the case.
