Avoiding tracking

Just recently I came across a read about Faraday bags for carrying a laptop or phone to avoid tracking. I have to admit that I did not know about these products, although they are being talked about, they are being sold, people are interested.
However, on the one hand, they seem a bit pointless to me, especially if it's about a phone track. If you want to hide your phone while carrying it somewhere, of course you shouldn't use it at all, you shouldn't take it out of this bag, and sometimes you probably have to if someone rings or if you lose your direction. If you take it out, everything becomes meaningless.
But at the same time, masking only one route is also pointless (at least for me), you'll end up having to plug in your phone at the endpoint. Why? Because we all use phones, it's probably inevitable now, for one reason or another. And this way it will appear that you have covered only one route, but not a starting point and an end point.
Well, Faraday bags are certainly useful in other cases too, not only for carrying devices. 🤔 The topic is just very new to me.
