Hey friends! Don’t you think the end of the Splinterlands season feels like waiting for a mystery gift? That’s exactly how I feel every time. Sitting in front of the screen, praying and thinking, “Please, let me get some awesome cards this time!” Well, this season, I’ve got an exciting story about how I spent my Glint and the unexpected surprises that came with opening cards.
This season, I managed to collect a total of 26,695 Glint. Not bad, right? But even with that much Glint, I still had to think hard about how to spend it wisely. After checking my card collection multiple times, I decided to split my Glint into two parts: the first part for buying Merit to open Gladius Packs, and the rest to hunt for an Epic card, Olivia of the Brook.
Gladius Packs: A Promising Start
My first step was to exchange my Glint for 2,400 Merit. With an additional 3,600 Merit I had earned from my previous brawls, I had enough to open three Gladius Packs. Deep down, I was hoping to pull an Epic or even a Legendary card. You never know, right?
The packs started to open, and my excitement grew with each card flip. But, to my dismay, most of them were common cards. No shiny gold cards appeared, though I did manage to get a few Rare cards. I kept hoping for a surprise until the very last card. Unfortunately, no Epics or Legendaries showed up.
Despite not meeting my lofty expectations, I wasn’t too disappointed. The Rare cards I got were decent, and they’ll definitely strengthen my Gladius team. Plus, Rare cards often have the potential to be game-changers in Guild Brawls.

Hunting for Olivia of the Brook
After satisfying my curiosity with the Gladius Packs, I shifted my focus to my main mission: hunting for the Epic card Olivia of the Brook. Why Olivia? She’s my favorite Epic card, and I needed just one more to upgrade her to level 2. This level is special because it unlocks the Mimic skill, allowing Olivia to copy the abilities of other monsters. Imagine having a card that can adapt and match your opponent’s strategy.
At 7,500 Glint per Epic card, I had just enough Glint to open six cards. My emotions were a mix of optimism and nervousness. The first card opened—and there she was: Olivia! I jumped out of my chair, letting out a small shout, “Yes! This is it!” It felt like a dream come true. With my new Olivia, I immediately upgraded her to level 2. The remaining cards were also ones I needed but hadn’t yet collected enough of to level up.

Mimic Skill: A New Strategy in the Arena
The newly unlocked Mimic skill had me buzzing with excitement to test Olivia in battles. With the ability to copy other monsters’ skills, Olivia becomes an incredibly versatile card. I could already imagine how she’d make a significant difference in Guild Brawls or specific ruleset matches.
This upgrade also served as a reminder that sometimes focusing on a small goal—even a specific one—can lead to major rewards.
Conclusion
This season was full of surprises and lessons. While my Gladius Packs didn’t yield any Epics or Legendaries, the additional Rare cards were still a great addition to my collection. But undoubtedly, the highlight of the season was getting Olivia of the Brook and upgrading her to level 2. With her Mimic skill now active, I’m confident she’ll shine as the star of my team.
