Hello everyone, welcome back to Ramadhanight's Hive Blog. The random building check still not match my collection, and I haven't got any students yet. So, today I decide to get another building and trying new method to expand my collection. Let's see how it goes !

What is DCity

For the intro, let's talk about DCity game, because I felt that this game is not popular enough.

dCITY is a city simulator game based on Hive-Engine Non Fungible Tokens. The NFTs represent assets in the game. Each individual card a building, citizen, etc., and the total collection of your cards is your city. dCITY allow players to optimize their cities in terms of buildings, population, and income. The aim of the game is to buy new buildings, but also use diplomacy and tact with fellow players to achieve the materials you need to grow and prosper. Obviously, there are several ways you can approach this, but we’ll let you learn them on your own and test them out.

This is a numbers game, but with the added randomness of society. There will be events which can have either a positive or negative impact on your city, depending on how your city is built. Choose wisely when helping or refusing to help another player. They might need your help today, but you never know when you might need their help in the future.

Yeah, this is a calculation game which require many calculation in order to get everything worked well. There is some rewards as well from getting into the top 400 leaderboard or holding the SIM token.

SIMillionaire and Free Student NFTs

Beside the daily hive devident, those who got more than 1 million sim power are having chance to get student NFT by doing claim on the discord, then the bot will check for a random building and if it's on your city, the student NFT will be given to you.

I still don't get any students yet. I know my town are still small, so I need to add more building cards on my city

Get Basic Home as My New Addition

The next question is which cards should I get, because there is just so many cards out there. I decide to see the all cards list on the Dcity site, and try to get the first on the list, the basic home !

This cards is actually a good one because it gave income effect and population, which is required for most building to get the income.

I got the basic home for 3599 SIM. I think that is still a respectfully cost because I want to keep my SIM power balance as well.

My City and Rank Status

I'm happy to see my city growing, with currently there is 16 kinds of NFTs already fill my city (there are some NFT with more than 1 copy).

My rank are not on a safe position with staying at 379 on income leaderboard. On population, I'm on 1425 position with 48 population in total, while on popularity I'm on 1061 with 69 popularity.

Next Step

My target is to get another building, with more positive impact to help my city grow and increase the chance for free student NFT. I also looking up for some tax refund to improve my income and rank on the leaderboard !

I used to play this game. But, not anymore. There was a time when the community have decided to go on wars and ask for a very high tax. I remember that my account was stuck. I sold all my cards and left the game.

Yeah, the tax is crazy. I personally only getting income by tax refund

It used to be different.

If I recall correctly, the tax was below 50% at times. It just changed and now the tax is very high. I'm sure that some players are benefiting from this high tax. But, small accounts are struggling with it.

yeah, sure there is politics on the game mechanism with the voting/presidential system.

Yeah.. These things are often played for the favor of players in the top of the leaderboard.

yeah, just like how the world's worked, people with power and resource can control the system. But I think that's the incentive for those rich people to invest ? I mean on every game, there should be a whale to makes the economics of the game keep rolling

Yeah, you're right. It's either that or the developers of the game are making the profits very low for everybody to make sure that they are the only whales out there.
