Greetings and good Sunday to you and your family. My alarm clock woke me at the beginning of the day, jolting me out of my quiet sleep. I paused as I slowly opened my eyes to give thanks to God for another day full of life and all its benefits.Time was not on my side once more; I had to get ready and get to church.
My cousin brought his baby for me when I arrived. The mother couldn't make it because she had just given birth to another child a few days prior. I knew right then that this was going to be a tasking and at the same time a memorable day.
I have to admit that, although it was an enjoyable and unforgettable event, it was also really stressful. Taking care of a baby demands time, patience, and effort all the time. It helped me realise how much moms deserve recognition and gratitude for their selfless care of their children.
The constant demand for attention was one of the hardest things. Babies have the amazing power to always require your full attention. It seemed like I had to be on constant watch because of his cries, his voracious curiosity, or his need to be held. It was mentally and physically draining.
The quantity of shouting that was required astonished me, for one reason. Baby’s tend to find themselves in problems or potentially harmful circumstances on a regular basis. To avoid any mishaps, I found myself yelling "No!" or "Stop!" nonstop.
In addition to being a mother for only a few hours, it was really stressful for me😂 However, it did make me see how much mothers deserve to be recognised and appreciated for the amazing work that they perform.
